And I Say Good Night to “Night”

Why don’t you sleep “Night”?
Don’t you get tired!
Or is it just you are afraid of dreams!
Whenever you are lost in mere sleep,
They will catch you in your dreams;
And beat your heart like slaves.
Selfish Night,
Your presence brought sleep to the city;
Thousands of beaten hearts—pondering,
How to get away from it.
You never cared for them.
But you did,
You did care for those children and a few more,
They may not be crafty, but they are happy.
I say, good night to “Night”.
