On 19 May, 2022 Monsoonletters curated a pop-up poetry performance at WOW Bangladesh, Sylhet Chapter in collaboration with British Council Bangladesh, Mongol Deep Foundation and CCD Bangladesh
The poem performed at the main stage at Sylhet Stadium was the result of a day long workshop, centered on the struggles of women, evoking the revolutionary spirit of movements for gender equality and women’s rights.
During the workshop (on 18 May, 2022) at the NGO Forum, the poets shared their experiences as women living in a patriarchal society and how they have struggled to overcome systematic biases. The eventual outcome being a collaborative poem proclaiming women’s empowerment.
