Unfinished Desire by Faisal Nayeem

On rainy days
I remember a childhood song
“Rain drops, slowly slowly,
River is floating.”
If I call you and say,
“Take my hand,
Let’s take a shower in today’s rain.
Let’s sing a song with clouds,
To make amusement of sorrow
You will never come,
I know it,
I know.”
But why! Without any reason
Why do I call you?
Why do I call you to come so close?
Why am I going to die for your touch?
Hey you! Come near to me,
“To take a shower of rains
This rainy night’s rain.”
There have many affairs,
Many loves,
Tears, laughter,
Eyes to eyes,
Making painting by tears
In the night,
Which is full of jasmine fragrance
You stay close
But why do you make distance?
I’m going to die for your touch.
If I call you and say,
“Take my hand,
Let’s take a shower in today’s rain
Let’s sing a song with clouds
To make amusement of sorrow
You will never come
I know it,
I know.
But why! Without any reason
Why do I call you to come so close?
Why am I going to die for your touch?
Hey you! Come near to me
“To take a shower of rains
This rainy night’s rain.”
On rainy day
I remember a childhood song
“Rain drops, slowly slowly,
River is floating.”
